Sales
We create informative videos to help educate distributors, buyers, and consumers of your new and upcoming products.
Documentary
We have produced, directed, shot and edited four full-length, feature documentaries that have been released at festivals, in theaters and on premium cable television. -
HISTORY:
Doug Tirola began 4th Row Films after a successful career in Hollywood working for major studios on the production of films like A League of Their Own and Searching for Bobby Fisher. He directed his first film, the critically acclaimed A Reason to Believe, in 1996. Doug’s goal has been to build a company devoted to traditional studio story development, while utilizing aggressive and cost-effective independent production. He also envisioned a business that would harness the creative talent and technical skills of independent filmmakers and apply them to the world of branded entertainment and marketing.
To date, 4th Row has produced over 1,000 such marketing films for various brands and their advertising agencies, including American Express, Coca-Cola, Smirnoff, L.A.M.B., Hershey’s, and Mercedes Benz, just to name a few. We have produced videos in nearly every state across the country, as well as in various parts of Europe, Australia, Asia and South America.
We offer a comprehensive list of video production and post-production services, including the development of scripted webisodes, branded mini-documentaries, product demonstrations, non-profit fundraising PSAs, event coverage, focus groups, consumer research, "roving reporter" style street interviews, media highlights reels, green screen effects, and animation. From quick shoots with small crews, to large-scale productions, we approach every project with the same passion for storytelling and fiscal discipline that form the foundation of independent film. This is what sets us apart.
In addition to branded entertainment, 4th Row Films is currently in production on our fourth feature-length documentary. Our first, An Omar Broadway Film premiered at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival to sold-out screenings and will air on HBO in the fall of 2009. Owning the Weather, which is based on an article from Harper’s Magazine, tells the story of humanity’s age-old quest to control the weather and premiered at the prestigious 2009 Full Frame Documentary Film Festival. Making the Boys screened at the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival, and traces the legacy of the landmark play and film, The Boys in the Band, which was a groundbreaking moment in gay visibility when it debuted 40 years ago. All In (CineVegas Film Festival 2009) explores the history and culture of poker in America and why the popularity of the game has risen so dramatically in the past few years.
Other 4th Row Films projects include Victor in December, a scripted feature film about a man obsessed with The Great Gatsby, which will begin filming this fall in Connecticut, and The X-Effect, a show about reuniting lost love that 4th Row created and produced for MTV and is currently gearing up for a third season on the network. - WEBSITE:
